Frank Lampard did not hold back his disappointment when Kepa Arrizzabalaga committed a defensive blunder in Chelsea’s defeat to Liverpool.
The Spainish goalkeeper gifted Sadio Mane a cheap ball as the Senegalese striker fired home Liverpool’s second goal to give the Blues a 2-0 win.
Chelsea have been in the market to sign Edouard Mendy from Ligue 1 side Rennes and the deal is getting close for the goalkeeper to challenge Kepa in between the sticks.

And after the game, Lampard gave a damning response to the goalkeeper who allowed Jurgen Klopp’s men extend their lead in the game at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Lampard said: “[It was a] big mistake. “Clear mistake and when you reflect on the half without the mistake and the penalty we draw the game 1-1.
“I’m actually happier in many ways [with the performance] than I was after Brighton on Monday.”
The Blues boss added: “It is a clear mistake that cost us, then we have a penalty that we could score. “He has to keep working, he has support around him.”
Kepa was also caught in no man’s land when Andreas Christensen delivered a rugby-like tackle on Mane and was sent off after a second look at VAR.
