Prof Charles Adias, the collation officer assigned by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the Rivers State Presidential election, has suspended the collation of results due to claimed threats to life.
Prof Adias, who is also the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Otuoke in Bayelsa State, stated this during the resumption of collation at the INEC headquarters in Port Harcourt on Tuesday morning, claiming that the threats were made by followers of a specific political party.
“I have been receiving threats, messages, and calls to my life and the lives of my family for two days now,” he said. My photo is all over the social media that I was deployed to rig the Rivers State elections.
