Gabaski, Egypt’s goalkeeper, has revealed what he said to Mohamed Salah seconds before saving Sadio Mane’s early penalty in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Final.
As Mane went up from 12 yards in the seventh minute, Salah was spotted conversing with Gabaski.
Salah offered his colleague an indication about what to anticipate after the two strikers had been teammates for four and a half years.

Mane’s strong attempt to Gabaski’s right was saved as a result.
After 120 minutes of play, the game ended goalless, and Mane made no mistake in converting the game-winning penalty kick to earn Senegal their first AFCON championship.
“Salah informed me: ‘Mane will shoot to the right side, he is coming now because he understands what I am saying,” Gabaski told MBC Egypt.
“Mane informed me he was going to shoot the ball on the left side, but Salah said, ‘We’ll see… let’s make him punish you. Salah responded in a wise and proper manner.”
