Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool attacker, has remarked that finishing seventh in the 2021 Ballon d’Or vote was a surprise given his great season.
The 29-year-old has 152 goals in 235 appearances for the Reds in all competitions.
Salah is having his best season as a Liverpool player and has been mentioned as a likely Ballon d’Or winner following the 2021/2022 season.
The Egyptian, on the other hand, could only manage eighth place.
“I was taken aback by the Ballon d’Or outcomes.
“I don’t have much to say about it,” he said DMC, “but hardly one anticipated me to finish seventh last year, and that is exactly what occurred.”
Salah has 47 international goals and has scored 27 goals this season.
