Peter Obi, a candidate for the Labour Party’s presidential nomination, expressed his shock at witnessing a Nigerian man scale Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise the party’s flag.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, a fan of the Obidients movement going by the Twitter handle @OGersh posted a picture of himself on Africa’s most famous peak waving the flag of the Labour party.
As a sign of his affection for the LP candidate, the man decided to take the risk of ascending to the mountain’s highest point, the Uhuru peak.

Through his verified Twitter account, Obi responded to the development, saying that the numerous activities of the Obidients—a term used to identify LP supporters—reassured him of their patriotism and desire to restore Nigeria to good.
“I am always overwhelmed by the show of love and support from the OBIdients in Nigeria and Diaspora. Your many acts of sacrifices reassure me of your patriotism and flaming desire to take back your country for good.
“Thank you @OGersh for taking our OBIdient message to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. It must have been a tough journey going up there for a noble sacrifice. I assure you and every Nigerian that under my watch, Nigeria will regain its position as the pride of Africa.
“It may be a tough journey, but we are not stopping, till we get to the top,” Obi tweeted.
