As of Saturday, March 5, 2022, a total of 807 Nigerians had been evacuated from Ukraine.
Three aircraft brought the evacuees to Abuja.
The first group of 450 Nigerians arrived on a Max Air aircraft, while the second group arrived on an Air Peace Boeing 777-300 flight (APK7534) with 183 passengers.

The third group of 174 refugees landed in Hungary about 11:50 p.m. on Friday.
Recall that the Federal Government authorized the release of $8.5 million on Wednesday for the prompt evacuation of Nigerians fleeing the war in Russia and Ukraine.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has been leading the evacuation effort.
