The World Bank has warned that Nigeria may have the worst inflation rate in 2022 globally.
.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had earlier, last year, prognosticated that the inflation rate would drop to a single digit of 9% in the country in 2022.
However, the realities on ground still indicate that such forecast might be a mere daydream, as the World Bank warns that the “Poverty Capital of the World” may yet witness another terrible wave of inflation and economic recession.
Recall that Nigeria had twice sunk into recession, in which the Government explained that it had pulled the nation from the ordeal in those two occasions.
Nevertheless, the World Bank maintained that if decisive action is taken such evil may not befall the nation.
