The agitator’s ongoing arrest, according to Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, is sinful.
To this purpose, Ejimakor asserted that if the Nigerian government freed Kanu, they would see the face of God.
He made the call while quoting verses from the bible that warned people about the dangers of sin.
Posting on X, he wrote: “Righteousness exalts a nation, but SIN is a reproach to any people”- Proverbs 14:34.
UPDATE: Aloy Ejimakor Appeals To Bola Tinubu For Kanu’s Release
“Your INIQUITIES have made a separation between you & your God & your sins have hidden his face from you …” -Isaiah 59:2.
“Detaining #MNK is a sin; an iniquity. End it & see the face of God.”
Since his re-arrest in Kenya in June 2021 and subsequent extraordinary rendition, Kanu has been held without charge.
The IPOB leader was held by the Department of State Services, DSS, upon his arrival in Nigeria while his trial went on.
Kanu was cleared of all terrorism-related charges by an appeals court, but the Nigerian government has refused to let him free.
