Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has strengthened his legal team by hiring Chukwuma Machukwu Umeh.
Kanu is now facing allegations of terrorism, treasonable felony, and other offenses brought against him by Nigeria’s federal government.
On Monday evening, one of Kanu’s attorneys, Aloy Ejimakor, revealed the news in a post on Twitter.

The IPOB leader’s lawyer said he had just returned from a historic visitation with Kanu, during which they covered a lot of fresh ground.
Kanu also expresses his love and congratulations to all of his real supporters, according to Ejimakor.
He wrote, “just exited from a groundbreaking visitation with Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
“It was groundbreaking because we covered many new grounds, including the addition of Chukwuma Machukwu Umeh (SAN) to the Legal Team.
“Onyendu sends his love & felicitation to all his true followers.”
