Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, the Alake and supreme monarch of Egbaland, has ordered the government at all levels and individuals to construct more vocational institutes, claiming that this is the answer to the nation’s high unemployment rate.
The traditional leader addressed as 69 students from the Peter Akinola Foundation (PAF) Youth Centre for Industrial Training received training materials from their sponsors.
The sponsors, which also included the Owo Diocese, Josephus Foundation, and Tunde Lemo Foundation, presented equipment worth more than N4 million.
Peter Akinola Foundation, a non-profit making organisation with a mission to help youths to be economically empowered was founded in 2011 by the former Primate, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), the Most Revd. Peter Jasper Akinola.
Oba Gbadebo during the presentation, charged students of various higher institutions in the country to always strive for the best.
According to the traditional ruler, aiming for the best will help them achieve their goals early in life.

He charged the lucky students to make use of the training tools for their betterment as well as for their community and the country at large.
Also speaking, the Director of the institution, Engr. Tunde Awolana, described PAF as a unique vocational centre that has trained thousands of students with technical skills since inception.
Chief Reuben Sogaolu, a member of the Tunde Lemo Foundation, who spoke on behalf of sponsors, expressed gratitude to God for making the presentation possible.
He disclosed that the sponsors are always proud of PAF’s students, promising that they would continue to do more for the vocational centre.
