On Tuesday, a Rivers State Labour Party (LP) chieftain raised a stir at the collation center over the presidential election results from Obio-Akpor local government area.
According to news sources, Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), won Governor Nyesom Wike’s LGA with 80,239 votes.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Tinubu won with a total of 231, 593 votes, defeating his closest rival, Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

Tinubu, the former governor of Anambra State, was in a slim lead until the Obio-Akpor local government results were revealed, which gave Tinubu a huge boost and contributed to his victory.
Peter Obi received 3829 votes, while PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar received 368 votes.
The LP chieftain present at the collation center, however, protested the results, resulting in a tumultuous session before sanity was restored.
