Olakunle Oluomo, the speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, will find out today whether he will be a contender in the 2023 election.
Oluomo is running for Ifo Constituency 1 on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform for the fourth time.
According to news sources, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Okikiola Ogundele, a son of the PDP Chairman in Ogun, Sikirulahi Ogundele, and Oluomo engaged in a heated debate during the initial poll, which took place on March 18.

Because the margin of victory did not match the number of PVCs obtained in a polling location where the election was canceled, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the Ifo Constituency 1 election inconclusive.
According to news sources, INEC declared the result in Unit 04 of Ifo Ward 01 invalid due to excessive voting.
It was announced by INlEC that the poll in Unit 04 of Ifo Ward 1 would take place today.
While stating that the election was inconclusive, the electoral umpire stated that the APC received 7, 379 votes while the PDP received 6, 411 votes.
According to newsmen, 1,596 people are anticipated to vote today, with a 968 vote margin of victory.
