The Department of State Services, or DSS, and petroleum marketers have scheduled a meeting for Wednesday, October 9, 2024, to discuss the supply and cost of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol).
In a Monday interview with Newsmen, the president of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria revealed this.
He mentioned that the meeting was about the price of petrol at the pump and its accessibility to oil marketers, even though he did not elaborate on the purpose of the gathering.
“Wednesday I have a meeting with the Department of State Services.

“It is about the petrol pump price. Anywhere IPMAN is involved it is about the issue of petrol and its availability to members,” he said.
“Until we go there, I will brief you after the meeting,” he stated in response to questions from the newsmen about the specifics of the discussion.
This occurs as petrol purchases nationwide by Nigerians range from N950 to N1,200 or more.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited reportedly resigned from its position as Dangote Petrol’s exclusive off-taker on Monday.
Dangote Refinery started distributing petrol in September, the same month that NNPCL raised petrol pump rates.
