Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, reportedly declined President Muhammadu Buhari’s nomination for the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.
There are rumors that President Buhari recommended Margaret Chuba Okadigbo to serve as the campaign council’s South East Zonal Coordinator.
According to sources who talked with Newsmen, the former governor of Lagos State turned down the nomination.

Chuba Okadigbo’s late widow, Margaret, is the former Senate President.
One of the sources said, “His (Tinubu) South-East penetration is the lowest, he refused Buhari’s nomination of Okadigbo’s wife to handle his South-East campaign.
“He felt she’s not capable enough despite being told by the President to pick her.”
