Tochukwu Unachukwu Unveils Plans For Okpuno Nnewichi, Nnewi
Tochukwu Unachukwu, a chairmanship aspirant for Okpuno Nnewichi Community Development Union in Nnewi Local Government Area of Anambra state, has unveiled his plans for Okpuno Nnewichi if elected the chairman of the community.
Speaking to Anaedoonline.com in an exclusive interview, Mr Tochukwu highlighted that infrastructural development, financial transparency and accountability, youth empowerment, sanitation awareness and scholarship facilitation will be the top priority of his government if given a chance.
Speaking on his plans for infrastuctural development, Mr Tochukwu said, “I want to meet up to the expectations of people, positively impacting the community by actions not just by words and unimplemented ideas.”
“My primary assignment will be to build an office, a security house and a hall, an example of what has been done in Abubo Nnewichi”.
He also spoke about the stagnant progress of the community development union and how he will bring about positive impact and make a significant difference that will make changes visible.
In his words, he said, “I will engage idle youths in jobs as a crime prevention policy and monitoring personnels to tighten up security in the community.
“In the aspect of education i will facilitate plans for scholarship for at least four or more amongst bright residents from Okpuno Nnewichi”.
Mr Tochukwu also intimated Anaedoonline.com of his intention to educate residents of Okpuno Nnewichi on the importance of sanitation.
Finally, he said, “In politics and other affairs concerning Okpuno Nnewichi, the strong keep ruling the weak and the weak do not have a say in the politics and affairs of this community today.”
“I have taken it upon myself to be a voice of the weak to be heard in this community.”
