The Ondo State police have detained 43-year-old Mr. Ajagba Joseph on charges of attempting to murder a man he discovered in his concubine’s house. The arrest was announced by the Ondo State Police Command in a statement shared on X.com.
The alleged crime took place on August 23 when Joseph visited the home of his lover and encountered another man, who was also involved with the same woman. In a fit of rage, Joseph reportedly pulled out a single-barrel gun and shot the other man.
Fortunately, the victim survived the attack and is currently recovering from his injuries. The police statement clarified that Joseph will be charged with attempted murder once the investigation is completed.
The statement detailed the events as follows: “Attempted Murder – This married man, Mr. Ajagba Joseph, aged 43, on August 23rd went to his concubine’s house and found another man there. He became enraged and shot the other man with his single-barrel gun. The victim is recuperating, and the suspect is in custody and will soon face court charges.”
