At the Osun All Progressives Congress governor rally, which drew no less than ten governors and other party heavyweights to Osogbo on Tuesday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was curiously absent.
Despite being billed as a guest speaker for the event, the vice president did not show up.
Rauf Aregbesola, the interior minister, was also not present. He and the state governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, who is running for reelection, are at odds politically.

Rotimi Akeredolu from Ondo, Kayode Fayemi from Ekiti, Atiku Bagudu from Kebbi, Nasir el-Rufai from Kaduna, Abdulrahaman Abudulrasak from Kwara, Hope Uzodinma from Imo, Abdullahi Ganduje from Kano, Babajide Sanwo-Olu from Lagos, and Prof. Babagana
Adams Oshiomhole, a former APC national chairman, Bola Tinubu, and Kashim Shettima, the party’s presidential nominee for 2023, were also there.
