The Osun State Election Petitions tribunal’s decision to dismiss Governor Ademola Adeleke was criticized on Friday by the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), who called it a “black market acquired judgment.”
In a statement, Co-National Spokesperson for CUPP, Mr. Mark Adebayo, said: “We are not alarmed because justice will be served in this case at some point. We see this ruling as a black market-purchased verdict that, like the severe gasoline shortage that is already affecting the entire nation and forcing drivers to turn to the black market to acquire petrol, will soon be overturned by higher Courts.

It is a temporary attempt to rob the Osun State people of their sovereign will and the judicial processes through its remedial mechanisms will do real justice to correct this anomalous injustice in the name of judgment.
“That it was a split decision judgment says a lot about its lack of merit. The mandate willfully given by the Osun State people to Governor Adeleke remains intact and any attempt to steal it will fail woefully.”
