The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced an updated calendar for party events related to preparations for the country’s general elections in 2023.
According to the revised schedule, the PDP has changed its Schedule of Activities to extend the deadlines for purchasing and submitting Expressions of Interest and Nomination Forms for the general elections in 2023.
The adjustment, according to a statement signed and distributed on Friday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, is to allow the party to compensate for the two days of public holidays designated by the Federal Government.

He explained that the deadline for purchasing all Forms has been extended to Tuesday, April 19, 2022, and the deadline for submitting previously completed Forms has been extended to Wednesday, April 20, 2022, under the new schedule.
As a result, the following revised dates for the screening of candidates for various posts have been set:
State House of Assembly: Friday, April 22, 2022,
National Assembly: Monday, April 25, 2022
Governorship: Tuesday, April 26, 2022
Presidential: Wednesday, April 27, 2022
Screening Appeals are scheduled as follows;
State House of Assembly: Monday, April 25, 2022,
National Assembly: Wednesday, April 27, 2022
Governorship: Friday, April 29, 2022
Presidential: Saturday, April 30, 2022.
2023: Atiku Submits PDP Nomination, Expression Of Interest Forms (Photo)
All other dates as earlier published remain unchanged.
Ologunagba urged all aspirants, critical stakeholders and Party members to be guided accordingly by the new dates.
He added that those concerned should ensure that all duly completed State Assembly Forms are to submitted at the various States Secretariat of the Party.
