Everything is already in place for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) extraordinary convention, which will determine the party’s presidential candidate in 2023.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the PDP’s presidential primary poll, which will take place in the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, will begin today, Saturday, May 28, and end on Sunday, May 29, 2022.
At the event, the presidential candidates would compete for the right to be the PDP’s presidential candidate in 2023.

In the contest to become the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023, 14 candidates will face each other in a primary election.
A total of 810 delegates have gathered to decide their fate.
Mohammed Hayatu-Deen Drops Out Of The Race
A presidential contestant from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has withdrawn from the campaign to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, just days before the primary poll.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Hayatu-Deen, a former managing director of the now-defunct FSB International Bank, announced his resignation in a letter to PDP national chairman Iyorchia Ayu.

He declared that he withdrew from the presidential election because it had been “obscenely monetised.”
The location of the PDP primaries is well guarded by a combined team of security officers, comprising personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, Civil Defense, and the DSS.
