The removal of Peter Obi’s Labour Party presidential campaign posters from Anambra State has been met with conflicting reactions.
The Anambra State government, according to the Labour Party (LP), took down billboards for Obi’s campaign in key locations.
The state governor, Chukwuma Soludo, was accused by the party of issuing the directive in that regard.
Obi and Umeh’s massive billboard at the Unizik Temporary Site Flyover on the Enugu-Onitsha expressway was taken down by the Anambra Signage and Advertising Agency over the weekend, a Labour Party official told journalists ( ANSAA).
LP Calls Out Soludo For Removing Peter Obi’s Campaign Billboards In Anambra
He said, “The billboard at UNIZIK Temporary Site Junction along Enugu-Onitsha expressway was today (Saturday) removed on the orders of Soludo.”
However, accusations that the billboard was taken down on the direction of the state governor, Chukwuma Soludo, were refuted by the managing director of ANSAA, Mr. Tony Ujubuonu.
He said, “Whatever was removed was due to a challenge we had with the agent that erected the board”.
