On Thursday 8th July 2021 The Federal Capital Territory Police Command, disclosed that an investigation into the alleged rape and death of a 14-year-old student of Premiere Academy, Lugbe, is still ongoing.

The development was disclosed in a statement released by the spokesman of the command, ASP Mariam Yusuf, on Thursday in Abuja

Yusuf in a statement said the command is ready to be professional, fair, and thorough in its investigation.

She called on residents to remain calm while awaiting the outcome of the investigation.

The mother of the late Senior Secondary School I (SSS I) student had alleged that her daughter died of an infection after a condom was found in her private part.

The student, however, died two days later in the hospital, while school authorities in a statement, claimed that the student left the school in a healthy condition, as opposed to the mother’s claim.

A teenage girl has been sent to her early grave by some heartless rapists.

The 12-year-old girl has been identified as Keitumetsi “Itu” Banda. The sad incident happened in New Eerterust, Hammanskraal, South Africa.

Keitumetsi’s mutilated body was found dumped near a dam by her brother. She had been raped,

Police spokesperson, Captain Kay Makhubela, who confirmed the incident on Thursday, December 10, said a 29-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder.

“During our preliminary investigation, police arrested the man who was last seen with the girl,” said Makhubela.

“On the Saturday morning, the body of the girl was found next to the dam at Stinkwater with injuries. The man was then charged with murder.” he added.

The man appeared in the Morelete magistrate’s court on Tuesday. The case was postponed to 18 December for a formal bail application.

According to Keitumetsi’s grandmother Johanna Banda, “she was raped, her throat slit and disembowelled”

Ms Banda said her granddaughter had been missing since two days before the gruesome discovery.

“Her oldest brother is the one that saw her body and he has not eaten since, he has only been drinking tea,” Johanna told Rekord News on Thursday.

“I just wish he could get counselling. Her mother can’t even eat, she has been falling when she stands up. This has had a bad impact on them.”

Keitumetsi’s mother, Agnes, said the last time she saw her daughter was on Friday when she visited her father’s house.

Her father’s house is four houses away from the Banda’s family home. Agnes said it was around 18:55 she started worrying when her children was not back home.

“I was told by some local children that Itu had gone with a man, known to the family because he wanted to ‘send her somewhere’,” she said.

“We looked for him until we decided to call the police. Police arrived between 20:00 and 21:00. Her father and her aunt, accompanied by the police, went to this man’s house but they searched and did not find anyone. After the police left, community members group themselves and went looking for the man and the child. When we finally found him, I asked him to give me back my child but he said he did not know who my child was,” she said.

“Police were called and the children identified him. That is when he was taken by the police. I am in pain because of what happened to my child.”

Keitumetsi’s aunt, Juliana, described her as an ambitious child who “aspired to be the best and change other people’s lives”.

“She loved school and always told me she wanted to be a pilot or a social worker. She always told me she wanted to help children that are less fortunate and she loved going to church,” Juliana said.

“I am hurt by what happened to her, the only justice for us is to impose a death sentence to the people responsible for her death. The person or people responsible for this will someday come back after serving their time but we will never get her back. In June, she survived a house fire. This was after the house caught fire during load shedding because of a candle.”

Hammanskraal has seen an influx of violent crime in the past few months.” she said.

How SARS Operatives Raped, Tortured, Traumatized Lady To Death

Today makes it a month and two days that the family of Ifeoma Stella Abugu received from the police the news of their daughter’s death. The long-awaited post-mortem reports are out and it clearly shows that the family was right in their suspicion – the SARS officials raped and murdered their daughter.

The Street Journal had earlier reported that Late Ifeoma, a graduate of the Institute of Management and Technology, IMT, Enugu was arrested by three SARS operatives on Thursday, September 10, 2020, when they invaded the home of her fiancé, Afam Ugwunwa, at Wumba village in the Lokogoma district of Abuja.

Ifeoma’s Journey to SARS

The SARS officers arrested Ifeoma in lieu of her fiance who they alleged had hard substances in his possession.

Four days later, they reported to her family that she was dead and her body was deposited at the Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital.

The family, in their confused state, reported the case at the Apo Police Division in Abuja. However, the family lost faith in the Apo police and petitioned the IGP for the case to be transferred to the Force Headquarters. The case was later transferred to the FCT Police Command led by Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma.

The family had a strong conviction that Ifeoma was raped and traumatized to death after sighting her corpse. The police argued that such allegation was very strong because the SARS operatives allegedly met Ifeoma unconscious in the apartment and took her to the hospital.

This account happened to be contrary to neighbours’ accounts who said the Late Ifeoma was picked up in a healthy state.

The Street Journal continued to push to know the names of the SARS officers involved, however, we were made to understand that the police wants findings to be discrete.

The family lawyer, Barr. Ifeanyi Cosmas Mamah, told our correspondent that CP Bala Ciroma had ordered a post-mortem, as part of discrete investigations to unravel the true cause of her death.

Barr. Cosmas said:

“The case has been transferred from the Apo police division to the FCT Command and the Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, has ordered for an autopsy to be done to ascertain the cause of her death.

“I can also confirm to you that the SARS officers who are responsible for her death and were at large have been identified, arrested and are currently undergoing interrogation at the station.

“Miss Ifeoma just rounded up her NYSC and did her introduction with her fiance on the 6th of September and her traditional wedding was billed for December, 2020.

“Residents in the area have affirmed that the SARS picked her up on September 10th but the police have continued to say they met her unconscious when they broke into her fiance’s apartment and took her to the hospital.

“We have strong reasons to believe that Ifeoma was sexually assaulted before she was killed. That is why we wrote a petition to the Inspector-General so that the case be transferred from the Apo Police Station to the Police Headquarters. We lost faith in Apo Division.”

The family also moved to petition the International Human Right Commission (IHRC); a civil society group, Transparency International; the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking In Persons (NAPTIP) and other relevant bodies, to get justice for their daughter whose future was cut short by the ruthless SARS officers.

The Autopsy Report

The Street Journal reliable gathered that the autopsy was concluded on Monday, October 5, 2020, and the report indicated that late Ifeoma was raped by the SARS officers who also subjected her to torture and trauma till she died; and her body deposited at the Gwagwalada Specialist.

The family, supported by Senator Chukwuka Utazi (Senator representing the victim’s constituency) were assured by CP Ciroma that the SARS operatives will be prosecuted.

The family lawyer told our correspondent that the police have refused to make a copy of the autopsy report which indicted the SARS operatives to the family as they say the case is for the police.

Barr. Cosmas said:

“Expectedly, the long-awaited post mortem examination result came out last Monday. However, the Police has not made it available to our Office for the benefit of our clients (the Abugu family and Ifeoma’s fiance).
“From the information we have right now, the result is clearly against the police. We wouldn’t argue with the Police or force them to prosecute based on the outcome of investigations, after all, it’s the case for the State and the Police has the discretion to exercise. Such discretion must be exercised according to law and we expect the police to do justice even if the heavens fall.

“We expect the Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, and the Inspector General of Police do justice under all circumstances. When we and Sen. Chukwuma Utazi met the Commissioner of Police last Thursday, he promised to ensure that the Police prosecute the suspects diligently.”

The family has seemingly lost faith in the police and seek that the Attorney General, Abubakar Malami, or officers from his department prosecute the defaulting SARS officers.

“However, we don’t have confidence in Police prosecutors and would prefer the Attorney General of the Federation or officers of his department to undertake the prosecution of the suspects.
“We want the suspects prosecuted and the family of the deceased adequately compensated,” Barr. Cosmas added.

A girl has narrated how her 13-years-old sister was brutally raped by a 7 man gang in Rivers state.

The incident reportedly happened at Port Harcourt town axis of Rivers State.

Revealing that the victim was also battered, her elder sister, Charity Isaiah, took to a radio station, 92.3 Nigeria Info, in Port Harcourt on Thursday to spill the details.

Charity explained that one of the alleged rapists was their neighbour, adding that he called the young girl as if he wanted to send her on an errand.

The sister also alleged that her young sister was abducted for three months and was only found on September 18.

Charity said, “That evening she wanted to have a bath, the guy called her as though he wanted to send her a message. The guy then changed her clothes; wore his own on her and used something to cover her face.

“Together with his friends, they took her somewhere, where they slept with her every day. They gave her hard drugs to take and she was just there.”

She urged the police not to compromise in the investigation of the alleged crime.

The state police spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the incident, adding, “We are still investigating the matter.”

10-Months-Old Girl Dies After Being Raped By Her Father

A Pennsylvania father has been arrested for allegedly r*ping his 10-month-old daughter, who later died from her injuries at a hospital.

Austin Stevens,29 year old of Providence Township, was charged this week with aggravated sexual assault, rape of a child, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, endangering the welfare of a child and other criminal counts in the death of his baby daughter, Zara Scruggs.

Zara was at her father’s house on Saturday evening where she was found unresponsive around 10:40 p.m.

An emergence call was made to 911 which alerted the authorities to the scene, according to Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele. The child’s father and mother shared joint custody.

The statement release from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, stated that Lower Providence police responded to a home in the 3400 block of Germantown Road to a report of an unresponsive infant at around 10.40pm on Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers found Zara Scruggs, the unresponsive infant, and her father, 29-year-old Austin Stevens.

The child was immediately transported to Einstein Medical Center in Montgomery County and pronounced dead shortly after midnight.

Montgomery County District Attorney, Kevin Steele told newsmen that personnel who transported the child to the hospital gave the police a blood-saturated diaper that the child had been wearing.

According to detectives, Stevens conducted several Google searches on his phone of “how do you know if a baby is dead,” “if baby stops breathing,” “what if you don’t hear baby heart or beat,” and “my baby isn’t breathing.”

An autopsy test has determined that the baby girl, was the victim of a sexual assault and sustained anal rectal trauma and blunt force trauma to the head.

Attorney Kevin Steele States that authorities are still waiting for additional forensic results to determine the child’s cause of death as Austin could face more charges.

“This case is deeply disturbing. It is hard to imagine this child’s death being any more traumatic: sexual assault on an infant, followed by inaction by the father to save her life, led to her death,” Steele said during a news conference.

It was gathered that the profusely bleeding young girl, who sells a local delicacy in front of her house, was rushed to the hospital after the horiffic ordeal but her current condition is stated to be unstable.

However, the victim’s family are under pressure to drop the case as they are poor and can’t afford to go to court.

The numerous rape cases especially involving minors have become too rampant and it is not just Sickening and saddening, it is indeed worrisome. Like a raving monster, this act of rape is capable of destroying all our children, none will be safe or spared if we don’t act decisively.

Another rape case has been reported in the Wadata axis of Makurdi. This one is between one Ali Usman, adult of about 20years and a 13year old girl within the same neighborhood.

On this fateful rainy Sunday evening, the little girl who sells a local food called Awara, was selling it in front of the compound when this neighbor called that he wanted to buy.

He asked her to bring it into the room, she had brought it to the door and in the process of handing over the food, the young man dragged her by her hijab, covering her face and mouth, and preventing her cries from being heard outside.

He was so brutal, infact, the crime scene is better imagined than seen. She lost so much blood in the process and was so weak, but she didn’t stop making efforts at screaming even with her mouth gagged up.

Due to the fact that it was raining, her screams couldn’t be easily heard. But with her persistence, the cries finally got to the neighbours and on breaking in, they met her almost lifeless.

She was rushed to the hospital and it was discovered she had lost so much blood. Her PCV was just about 19%.

I was called at the hospital by Mrs Bai and I was able to raise some money for her treatment. The parents had no money on them.

I enquired if they have reported the matter to the police yet, and they answered in the affirmative. The Rapist has been arrested.

I moved them to the Police hospital yesterday where more tests were run on her. I left them after some time and I was later called that she had fainted again, and was rushed to the hospital. Obviously, more damage has been done to her than we can imagine.

The family has no money and is really reluctant in pursuing the case. Infact a family member advised that charges be dropped as they cannot afford to go to Court. But I stopped them, this is not a matter to be left unattended to. Justice has to be pursued, and with all sense of seriousness.

I am using this opportunity to call on FIDA, individuals and all other concerned bodies. This case needs all the support it can get. If this is left in the hands of the girl’s family alone, there may be no case against the rapist and that will make one more monster on the loose, looking for the next available victim.

Lady Raped And Murdered By Her Childhood Friend

Woman raped and murdered by her childhood friend, after trusting him to walk her home after a night out. Keeley Bunker, 20, was cruelly attacked by Wesley Streete, 20, brutally. He raped her, strangled her, then dumped her body face-down in a brook in Wigginton Park, Tamworth, after an evening at Snobs nightclub in Birmingham on September 19, 2019.

The supermarket worker faces life in jail after he was also found guilty of a further two counts of rape and three sexual assaults in relation to three other victims.

Footage released by Staffordshire Police after the verdict, shows Keeley and Streete laughing and dancing in Snobs nightclub after watching rapper Aitch perform at the 02 Academy in Birmingham.

After the night out, a friend offered Keeley a bed at her house but the deceased replied: “I’ve got Wes, Wes will walk me back, it’ll be fine.”

Unfortunately, Wes, who is her childhood friend, proved not to be as trustworthy as she thought.
He brutally attacked and choked the life out of her as a result of “sustained pressure” around the neck as they were walking home, jurors heard during the three-week trial. He is then said to have lifted the upcoming primary school teacher’s body on to his shoulder, before spending roughly an hour hiding her in the undergrowth.

When she didn’t come home, friends and relatives launched a search party for her. She was found by her horrified uncle Jason Brown at around 9 pm the day after she disappeared.

Dean Reynolds, an off-duty police officer, has described Keeley’s uncle’s shouts as “the most horrendous screaming I have heard in my life” as he found her body by torchlight.

Wesley Streete was accused of repeatedly lying about what happened on the night of Keeley’s death, changing his account at least four times before trial. After her body was discovered, the supermarket worker claimed he strangled her by mistake during consensual sex and dumped her body as he was “scared” and “embarrassed”.

He was said to have returned to the scene five times to cover her body with more branches. The promising footballer had previously told police he left Keeley alive and “she seemed happy – 110%”.

Bodycam footage shows Streete lying to police about Keeley’s whereabouts after she went missing and saying: “I just feel like I’m getting the blame”.
During an interview with officers, he claimed he was “embarrassed” to be accused, saying: “It’s scary, but not scary in a way.”

Detectives, using GPS data recorded by Streete’s own phone, were able to expose the truth when he had claimed to have parted ways with Keeley before she ever reached the park, the court heard.

Prosecutor Jacob Hallam QC said Keeley’s clothing was “in disarray” when she was found and “it was obvious from the state of her body and the way it had been hidden that she had been unlawfully killed”.
A forensic pathologist said there were 100 marks on the young woman’s body, including bruises to her face and scratches to her forehead. There was also deep bruising beneath the skin of her face, her lower lip had been lacerated and there were hemorrhages to the lining of the mouth.

Keeley’s sister has described her as “one of the most vibrant, caring, and beautiful souls this earth has ever seen”.
Streete is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday, August 7.

A suspect has however been arrested in connection with the murder, according to a statement released by the Nigeria Police.

Singer Duffy revealed that she had been “raped, drugged and held captive” in a Tuesday Instagram post.

“You can only imagine the number of times I thought about writing this,” the 35-year-old Welsh singer, whose real name is Aimee Duffy, wrote. “The way I would write it, how I would feel thereafter. Well, not entirely sure why now is the right time, and what it is that feels exciting and liberating for me to talk. I cannot explain it. Many of you wonder what happened to me, where did I disappear to and why.”

In 2011, several years after her hit single “Mercy” from the album Rockferry, the singer essentially fell off the public radar. “A journalist contacted me, he found a way to reach me and I told him everything this past summer. He was kind and it felt so amazing to finally speak,” she explained. “The truth is, and please trust me I am ok and safe now, I was raped and drugged and held captive over some days.”

The Grammy-award winner continued, “Of course I survived. The recovery took time. There’s no light way to say it. But I can tell you in the last decade, the thousands and thousands of days I committed to wanting to feel the sunshine in my heart again, the sun does now shine.”

She also addressed unspoken questions from fans: “You wonder why I did not choose to use my voice to express my pain?” she said. “I did not want to show the world the sadness in my eyes. I asked myself, how can I sing from the heart if it is broken? And slowly it unbroke.”

Duffy promised to share more information in a “spoken interview,” adding, “I have a sacred love and sincere appreciation for your kindness over the years. You have been friends. I want to thank you for that.” She also asked that fans respect the privacy of her family and to “support me to make this a positive experience.”

There is not an abundance of recent information on Duffy, who, after her follow-up album Endlessly, recorded three songs for the 2015 film Legend. In December, she posted a Facebook photo with the mysterious caption “2020,” prompting fans to beg, “Please come back” and to interpret it as a sign of an upcoming album.

On Tuesday, fans retreated to that Facebook post, writing, “You are a strong woman Duffy“ and “You were quite right to take as long as you needed, the most important thing is your wellbeing and health which should always come first.”
