In the United Kingdom on Wednesday, Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential hopeful, met privately with Most Rev. Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Less than two days have passed since Atiku’s meeting with some UK ministers.
Newsmen had reported on Tuesday that Atiku met with senior UK government officials, including Andrew Mitchell, the Minister for Development and Africa in the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, to ask for their support in restoring every aspect of Nigeria’s life.

On Wednesday, Atiku shared a photo of himself and Welby on his Facebook page, confirming that the two had met.
The former VP claimed that they had an in-depth discussion about their shared views with the goal of advancing humanity.
He wrote “The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd Justin Welby, is an amiable personality. My meeting with him, which ended not long ago, dwelled on shared beliefs in promoting better humanity and ensuring that the lot of the common man is improved.”
