Two priests, Reverend Father Chochos Kunav and Reverend Father Raphael Ogigba, were kidnapped in Agbaro Otor Area, close to Warri, Delta State, causing unrest in the Catholic community there.
ANAEDOONLINE According to Metro, the two clerics were abducted against their will on Saturday night while travelling to Ughelli along the Agbaro Otor Road by as-yet-unidentified gunmen.
Father Chochos, who works in Ibadan, was visiting his colleague, Rev. Father Ogigba, of the Catholic Diocese of Warri, according to a statement released by Rev. Father Okereke Kizito and made accessible to journalists in Warri on Monday.
The statement read, “They both later went to see another priest nearby Agbaro-Otor and on their way back they were abducted.”

The statement called for prayers for the safe release of the abducted priests.
“We ask for intense prayers for quick and safe release. May Jesus the high priest and the good Shepherd take care of his priests and may our mother thrice admirable Queen and victress of schoenstatt intercede for them,“ it added.
The police Public Relations Officer for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, could not be reached for comments on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
