All decisions performed by Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello remain legal, according to Mai Mala Buni, Chairman of the APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC).
Buni stated in a statement to reporters on Thursday that he formally turned over to Sani-Bello before his medical travel, making the interim chairman’s actions lawful.
Reports that he reserved Governor Bello’s decisions were false, he said.

He advised stakeholders and members to disregard a statement discarding activities of the committee under Sani-Bello.
Reports had emerged claiming Buni, had dumped the sub-committee for the national convention earlier adopted by his Niger State counterpart, Sani Bello.
According to the source, the Yobe Governor also reverted to his original list after removing members of the caretaker committee from the national convention’s Central Coordinating sub-committee.
Buni and the committee’s National Secretary, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, were named Chairman and Secretary of the sub-committee, according to the statement.

He reinstated Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu as Chairman and Femi Fani-Kayode as Deputy Chairman of the Media and Publicity Sub-committee.
Buni also replaced Kano state Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje as Chairman of the Protocol sub-committee with Kogi state Governor.
