In a remarkable achievement, Sochima David Chukwudi, a student at Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), has made history by achieving a near-perfect score of 1590 out of 1600 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The SAT is a standardized test taken by high school juniors and seniors applying to colleges and universities, and it is administered internationally multiple times a year.
Chukwudi’s exceptional score has set a new benchmark for Nigerian students, surpassing the previous record of 1510 out of 1600. The young scholar attributed his success to a combination of factors, including divine grace, self-study, and hard work. He emphasized the importance of focus, determination, goal-setting, resilience, energy, patience, practice, and prayer in his preparation for the exam.
Chukwudi, a scholarship recipient from the Annual National Mathematics Competition (ANMC) organized by NTIC, acknowledged the support of his teachers and countless hours of intense studying, preparation, and practice. He also utilized various online resources to familiarize himself with the SAT format.
