The contested candidate of the APC in the Okigwe Senate Bye-election, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, has said that Sir Frank Ibezim was never a participant of the APC Primaries, stating that Ibezim was disqualified by the Screening Committee and appeal panel.
Araraume made the statement while reacting to questions from an AIT correspondent, over the Okigwe APC legal impasse.
He said Ibezim was sacked on the eve of the election, by a Federal High Court, and he did not appeal the sack before the election.
Recall that APC was announced winner of the Okigwe Senate Bye-election, but the party is still at deadlock over who the candidate of the party is.

Senator Ifeanyi Araraume also slammed Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Imo State Govenor, over his faulty management of the state.
Araraume frowned at Uzodinma for celebrating and commissioning a 500 meter road, which collapsed a week after commissioning. He compared the governor to other state governors: Borno, Kaduna and Ebonyi.
He said the Govenor should allow the people speak for him if he is doing well but wondered how the people would speak for the Govenror, when pensioners are being flogged and legislators locked up in the state. He urged the governor to talk less, work better and respect other leaders.
