Bem Garba, a leading member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, has encouraged President-elect Bola Tinubu to appoint Senator Barnabas Gemade, a former candidate for governor, to the position of Secretary to Government of the Federation.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Garba claimed that choosing Gemade as SGF would promote harmony, give the state’s residents a sense of inclusion, and give the president-elect the chance to collaborate with an experienced, capable, professional, and cerebral mind as he seeks to establish his administration on a solid foundation.
He asserted that Gemade possesses the managerial skills, moral fortitude, and experience necessary to oversee such a delicate and important post in the administration joining on May 29.

Garba remarked Gemade stands out as a nationalist with cross-cutting expertise in both the legislative and executive branches of government.
He asserted that Gemade’s nomination as SGF will lessen the level of unrest in Northcentral, which he claimed has been a major source of support for the administration since 2015.
“The president-elect needs well-experienced technocrats like Senator Barnabas Gemade in his government to bring to fruition his well-intended desire to leave a lasting and impactful legacy in the governance of our country.
“He has occupied positions of trust where he left footprints of honour and integrity.
“A loyalist and committed party chieftain, the appointment of such an erudite administrator will be a great asset to Bola Tinubu”, The Nation quoted him as saying.
