Simi, a Nigerian musician, has stated that her colleague Habeeb Okikiola, often known as Portable, deserves “flowers” despite his contentious personality.
He gained news after being filmed in a viral video fighting arrest by police officers. He was imprisoned for three days before being brought before an Ogun State Magistrate Court in Ifo on a three-count charge of assault and theft of musical equipment.
He was eventually given N800,000 bail, but the Magistrate ordered Him to be held at the Ilaro Correctional Centre awaiting the completion of his bail conditions.
Following his release, the Zazu crooner released a new song called “Federal Government Responsibility.”
He boasted in the song about not wearing a prison uniform while at the correctional centre in Ilaro.
His new song elicited mixed reactions.
Praising Portable’s resilience, Simi said, deserves accolades.
She tweeted, “Gotta give Portable his flowers lol.”
