Victor Afam Ogene, the Labour Party’s (LP) candidate for the House of Representatives in Saturday’s special election in Ogbaru, Anambra State, is steadfast in his commitment to his ideology of nation-building, according to Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 election.
Remember how Ogene was leading other candidates before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ruled the Ogbaru Federal Constituency poll inconclusive?
Obi urged his followers in the region to support Ogene in the Saturday supplementary election while speaking to the public during a roadshow campaign tour of the wards in the Ogbaru Federal Constituency.

Ogene is a good candidate who is modest, devoted, and honest, and who would make sure that Ogbaru’s development was prioritized, according to the former governor of Anambra.
Obi, who was joined by Oseloka Obaze and Tony Nwoye, the senator-elect for Anambra, assured the crowd that Ogene is dedicated to his vision of creating a new Nigeria.
He said: “I am here to beg you to vote for us, vote for Labour Party, vote for Afam Ogene, we will support him, and, he will rebuild here (Ogbaru).
“Remember that I built all these roads here when I was governor, if you vote for us in this Saturday’s re-run election, we will come back to thank you; Afam Ogene will develop here.”
According to Newsmen, from 2011 to 2015, Ogene served as a representative for Ogbaru in the House of Representatives.
