The Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST) recently took steps to enhance its operations by providing a two-day training program for 41 staff members in its financial service department. The goal of this initiative is to strengthen NIPOST’s infrastructure and benefit the country as a whole.
This training, which took place in Benin and was conducted in collaboration with Stanbic IBTC Bank and Ekode Mega Touch Limited, offered valuable insights to participants from the southern region of Nigeria. They received updates on agent banking, payment services, remittance, e-governance, and more.
Miss Tola Odeyemi, the Post Master General/Chief Executive Officer of NIPOST, highlighted the significance of this training in equipping the staff with the knowledge necessary to enhance the agency’s financial services. She emphasized that NIPOST has various opportunities and privileges but lacks the means to fully utilize them.
