Tragic Killing of Port Harcourt Water Corporation Auditor
In a tragic and controversial incident, Dr. Barine Lenee, the Internal Auditor of Port Harcourt Water Corporation, met a gruesome end, leaving a community in shock and outrage. Dr. Lenee, aged 41, hailing from Buan Community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, was brutally murdered under mysterious circumstances.
The incident occurred on Saturday, September 30, as Dr. Lenee was driving from Uyo, the capital of Akwa-Ibom State, to Port Harcourt. His journey took a horrifying turn when he was reportedly ambushed and stabbed multiple times near the Trans-Amadi slaughter area of the city.
His lifeless body, along with his car and personal belongings, except for his phone, was discovered dumped along the road on Sunday, October 1. The gruesome murder of the Chartered Accountant sent shockwaves through the community and beyond.

One individual, Karasira Clement Livinus, expressed his sorrow in a Facebook post, describing Dr. Lenee as a gentle, selfless, and dedicated person who became a victim of a failed system.

He also criticized individuals in the healthcare sector who prioritize monetary gains over saving lives. Livinus concluded by expressing confidence that justice would be served, and Dr. Lenee’s family would find the strength to carry on.
