The Coalition of South East Youth elders, COSEYL, has urged Yoruba elders to caution All Progressives Congress (APC) head Femi Fani-Kayode to refrain from making recent political statements.
Kayode had confronted Abia State Governor Alex Otti last week, accusing him of refusing to hang President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s official portrait in his office.
Otti’s unwillingness to display the official photograph in the office, according to the APC chieftain, was due to his failure to accept Tinubu as his president.

Angered by Fani Kayode’s outburst against the governor, COSEYL’s President General, Goodluck Ibem, issued a statement on Wednesday in which he branded the former Aviation Minister as “a misfit who doesn’t know where he left his clothes after bathing.”
“His recent attack on the Executive Governor of Abia State Dr. Alex Chioma Otti is an insult on the entire Igbo nation and we will not take such insult from a misfit like him.
“Fani-Kayode should take his filthy mouth off the politics of Abia State. Abia state is not Yoruba land, he should know his boundaries.
“We call on Yoruba leaders to call their son Femi Fani-Kayode to order before he causes a war in the nation”, the statement added.
