The governors of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory have received 20 truckloads of rice from the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government to be distributed to Nigerian citizens.
This comes after well-meaning Nigerians from all ethnic backgrounds pledged to demonstrate against the dire economic conditions plaguing their nation.
The rice is meant for the most disadvantaged Nigerians, according to Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris, who made this statement to State House media on Monday after the Federal Executive Council meeting.
He stressed that putting food on Nigerians’ tables is a top priority for the Tinubu administration.
