UPDATE: Former Konga CEO, Nick Imudia’s Death Not Suicide - Family Reveals

Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Konga, a leading e-commerce company in Nigeria, has reportedly passed away by suicide. Imudia reportedly ended his life by jumping from the balcony of his apartment in the Lekki area of Lagos State on the evening of Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

In the moments leading up to his death, Imudia made two phone calls. He contacted his brother, who resides in the United States, to provide instructions on how his wealth should be distributed. He also spoke with his young daughter, reassuring her that he would always be with her in spirit.

The news of Imudia’s death has left his friends, family, and colleagues in deep shock and confusion, as they struggle to understand why he would take such a drastic step. Imudia hailed from the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State and had previously been married. The marriage, which produced his young daughter, ended due to irreconcilable differences.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer for Lagos State, confirmed the incident, stating, “Yes, it is true. He committed the act on June 25.”
