Bode George, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserts that Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, continues to lead the party in the state and need the backing of all party members in order to be successful.
George urged peace to return to the State by bringing Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, back together.
Since the two men’s political disagreement, there has been political tension in the state, as seen by a number of unsettling incidents, according to Anaedoonline.ng.

The most recent was the burning of a few state-run local government secretariats on Monday, the day the freshly elected officials were supposed to begin their jobs.
George stated that his primary concern is seeing peace prevail in the oil-rich state again in response to the incident on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday.
He declared that his primary goals in Rivers State politics would be justice, equity, and fairness and that he would not take sides with anyone.
The PDP leader clarified that he has tried, along with other PDP Board of Trustees members, to bring Wike and Fubara together.
“Justice is, who is the leader of the party in the state? It is not the minister, it is this governor.
