Tinubu is now reviewing the proposed minimum wage, which is meant to be paid to Nigerian workers on a monthly basis. Soon, a formal announcement is anticipated.

It was previously stated that the government’s rejection of their demand for a higher minimum wage of N494,000 was the reason behind the call for a workers’ strike made by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).
But after a day of work stoppage, all sides went back to the negotiating table and eventually came to an understanding.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu ordered Wale Edun on Tuesday to deliver a template for the new minimum wage by Wednesday in order to keep their end of the bargain.
