The declaration was made on the last day of the initial four-day truce between the warring parties by Majid Al Ansary, a spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, in a post on X.

Government spokeswoman Eylon Levy told reporters on Monday that if Hamas does not agree to additional hostage releases, Israel will continue operations with “full force” as soon as the present agreement expires, with the aim of eradicating the group and freeing the remaining detainees.
Thus far, the present agreement has resulted in the release of about 58 captives. Approximately 1,200 Israelis and over 13,000 Palestinians have died in the conflict, which has not yet resulted in a peace framework being offered by either side.
