To begin the week, the naira depreciated against the dollar once more on the foreign currency market.
According to FMDQ data, the naira had a modest decline of N2.38 on Friday, trading at N1600.78 on Friday before weakening to N1603.16 on Monday.
The naira fell to N1730 per dollar on Monday from N1725 on Friday of last week in the parallel market.
This occurs as Monday’s FX transaction turnover was $359.22, a little increase over Friday’s $350.72 million.
