President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to postpone their planned rallies against the nation’s poor leadership, which are scheduled for the next month.
Following a meeting with the President on Tuesday, Information Minister Mohammed Idris informed State House correspondents on the appeal.
According to Idris, Tinubu advised the demonstration organisers to postpone their plans and wait for the President to address their concerns.

“The issue of the planned protest, Mr President does not see any need for that. He’s asked them to shelve that plan. He’s asked them to await the government’s response to all their pleas,” the minister said.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and all states in the Federation are expected to host the anti-economic hardship rally, which is gaining popularity on social media, beginning on August 1.
