Nyesom Wike, the former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and governor of Rivers State, has not commented on the scheme to remove Siminalayi Fubara from office.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the state governor of Rivers was the subject of an impeachment process that started on Monday due to allegations of grave misconduct and abuse of power by the House of Assembly.
It was discovered that the notice of impeachment against Fubara, which has been served to him, was signed by 24 of the 32 House members.

In addition, the assembly suspended three other legislators and the majority leader of the House, Hon. Edison Ehie, for setting the House on fire.
Ehie, who is thought to be the governor’s staunch ally, was reported to have annoyed the initial attempt to initiate impeachment proceedings against his ally.
But in a surprising turn of events, Ehie became the factional Speaker of the House and promptly suspended Simeon Amadi, the state’s chief judge, as well as the assembly’s top officials.
It is also alleged that the state executive council has been dissolved and that all local government chairpersons have been fired.
