Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has asked for the immediate and unconditional release of all the #EndBadGovernance protesters including the 32 hungry and malnourished children.
Additionally, SERAP called on President Bola Tinubu to use his “leadership position” to order Justice Minister Mr. Lateef Fagbemi, SAN and Attorney General of the Federation to take immediate action to guarantee their unconditional release.
Kolawole Oluwadare, the deputy director of SERAP, signed a letter on Sunday that included this information.

The UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention’s Chair-Rapporteur, Dr. Matthew Gillett, was also copied on this.
In the letter, SERAP requested that the government implement the suggested actions within 48 days of receiving and/or publishing the letter.
The group said that, in the public interest, it would take appropriate legal action to force your government to abide with its demands.
The children and other demonstrators are being held only for peacefully exercising their human rights, according to SERAP.

The organisation said “Bringing charges against children and detaining them simply for the peaceful exercise of their human rights is clearly not acting in the ‘best interests of the child’.”
It also stated that: “The detention of the 32 hungry and malnourished children also infringes their right to education. These children ought to be in school, and not languishing in detention.”
