Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike sparked controversy when he asked FCT Council Chairmen to “take a bow” in front of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The request has sparked strong opposition among Nigerians and was documented in a video that was posted on X (previously Twitter).
Wike highlighted the council chairmen’s support for the government’s programme as he presented them in the video.
“These are six Area Council chairmen. Mr. President, it’s not about party; it’s about the agents of the New Hope Agenda in the Area Councils, and they’re doing well, working well with us. I want them to take a bow before you,” Wike stated.
