Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, has requested that the case brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) be moved to Kogi State by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Remember that the former governor was charged by the EFCC with allegedly stealing N82 billion in a courtroom presided over by Justice Nwite.

Speaking through his attorney, Adeola Adedipe, Bello informed the court on Thursday that the case should be heard in Kogi State because the allegations against him were made during his tenure as governor, according to TVC.
Reall also revealed that the former governor had four times declined to appear in court, alleging a variety of excuses, including the anti-graft agency’s partiality against him.
