The Nibo-Umuawulu road has collapsed according to reports, the road which collapsed as a result of erosion attack which resulted from rainfall collapsed, thereby cutting off commuters and hindering the free flow of traffic
However, there was prompt visit by the Commissioner for Road Construction, Furniture and Maintenance, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor , The Managing Director of Anambra State Road Maintance Agency Engineer Emeka Okoye ,and other directors in the Ministry of Road Construction to see first hand the level of damage on the road was an indication that there is a synergy between the government and people at the grassroots.
The two bridges along Nibo-Umuawulu road where one was totally cut off and the other threatening to cave in and reports that the situation is now a serious challenge to commuters going to Umuawulu as they now pass through Isiagu to get to the community.
