UPDATE: INEC begins distribution of PVCs in 10 Nnewi wards.

The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) Anambra state issued a press release on October 8th, 2018 to commence the distribution of the Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) in the ten (10) wards of Nnewi, Click here to read full story.

According to INEC, the move is to enable all registered voters collect their PVC before the commencement of the 2019 general election.

INEC appeals to all registered voters who have not collected their voter’s card to visit the polling station nearest to them to collect their cards. INEC personnels have been deployed to the wards to facilitate the distribution of the cards and urged the people to be orderly during the exercise.

In a related development, the Office of the National Publicity Secretary of Umudim Nnewi Development Association headed by Akpuka innocent Emeka have announced PVCs collection points in all the political wards in Umudim Nnewi.

According to his press release, voters in Umudim Ward One (1) are expected to collect their PVCs from Monday 15th October to Friday 19th October 2018 at Inyaba Central School (St. Michael’s Anglican Church Inyaba Umudim) While Voters in Umudim Ward Two (2) are expected to collect their PVCs at Umuezena Central School (St. Monica’s Catholic Church Umuezena).
