3 ARRESTED FOR MURDER, ARMED ROBBERY IN NNEWI
Three murder and armed robbery suspects, Chukwu Efe, 25; Tobenna Onwujuobi, 22; and Nchekwube Ikpeabu, 28; have been arrested by police operatives attached to the Anti Robbery Squad of the Ebonyi State Police Command; who went to the hideout of the notorious criminals in Abakaliki in Ebonyi State.
Police source informed that the suspects were involved in series of armed robbery in Anambra State including the recent armed robbery attack and murder of one Emeka Uzochukwu on 30th November, 2018; and murder of one Emeka Chukwubelu on 27 November, 2018, in Nnewi.
Exhibits recovered in their possession include one Barreta pistol and a Toyota Camry with reg VB 249 KJA.
Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra State, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the development. He said that the case is still under investigation after which suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
