Alleged POS Fraudster Arrested in Delta State

An alarm has been raised by the students of Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro against a Man who claimed to be Mr. Francis from Ekwulobia, in Anambra state but his real identity is not yet proven.

It was alleged that the suspect, Mr. Francis was defrauding POS terminals or operators most especially FIRST BANK FIRST MONIE AGENT with the the format that the POS will be given to them for free as POS terminal owner and present him self with an ID card as an agent of ORANGE BOX or O PAY company.

He will then tell his victims that they can be given one of the following Companies POS terminal if they install the application on their phone and fund their wallet with the sum of 60,000 per terminal. Then he will give them “touch light phone” for receiving alert, the company diary which he produced, the POS printing paper, ink, hand bills and others and after giving them those items mention, he usually tell them that the POS will be delivered to them by the company the following week, but will later ask for more money so he would come from the office to set up the terminal location when the week comes, and that is how he will do away with their money and then block them (his victims) on WHATSAPP, phone call and other means of communication.

It was gathered that he was caught and arrested on 22nd May 2019 at Irri in ISOKO SOUTH L.GA. DELTA STATE with the efforts of the Police by a smart businessman who he defrauded last year December at Ozoro Delta state with the aid of a CCTV footage which recognized when he was still on the mission to defraud another 3 persons at IRRI.

It was reported that he usually appears decent with a face cap to cover the dread golden hairs.
