Zimuzo Development Foundation Settles Bill of Indigent Patient.
Respite has come the way of little Miss Amara Nwafor who was cured at Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital Nnewi, but could not be released to go home because her medical bill was not paid.
Courtesy of Zimuzo Foundation, a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) owned by Chief George Muoghalu, little Miss Amara Nwafor is now free to go with her Mother as the Foundation have taken care of all her medical bills.
Speaking to Anaedonline, the Director of the Foundation, Rev. Uche Ibeabuchi said that the gesture was purely to ameliorate the plight of the patient who was having the challenge of paying the hospital bills of her little daughter.
He revealed that the Foundation received a disturbing call from the widowed Mrs Blessing Nwafor, who is the Mother of the patient and also a beans and plantain vendor.
Presenting the Sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira alongside the Foundation Administration Secretary, Mr Matthew Okwuegbu, to Mrs Blessing Nwafor, in the presence of some of the hospital management, Rev. Ibeabuchi urged Mrs Blessing Nwafor to maintain his Faith in God and also to offer help to others no matter how little.
According to him, Zimuzo Development Foundation, which was established in 2014 has engaged in series of charity works in other to help the less privileged in the society. Through scholarship and other programs, they have empowered alot of people.
Expressing her gratitude, Mrs Blessing Nwafor, a widow who hails from Onueke in Ebonyi State, said that her Child was certified fit and discharged about two months ago, but unfortunately, her inability to settle the medical bills of her child has kept them in the hospital.
Speaking further, she said that her daughter was diagnosed of tiny urinary tract, as the urinary condition deteriorated, her daughter was booked for surgical operation, which was done successfully.
The excited Mrs Blessing Nwafor, thanked the National Auditor of All Progressive Congress (APC) and Chairman of Zimuzo Development Foundation, Chief George Muoghalu, for his intervention.
She however pleaded for more assistance to enable her restart her business as she has deposited all her life savings in the treatment of her child.
