Last weekends Premier League presented the fans with so many goals and intriguing results from teams in the league as Liverpool managed a 1-0 win against Sheffield United, Man City edge Everton 3-1 and Chelsea defeated Brighton 2-0 at the weekend.

It was also a moment for some players to step up their game as Wilfred Ndidi, Jamie Vardy netted for Leicester City, Ryad Mahrez scored for Man City and Jorginho eased the pressure for himself and manager, Frank Lampard for Chelsea first home victory.

Goalkeeper
Ederson (Manchester City): Had a decent game against Everton as he kept the Toffees at bay for the most part of the game after conceding a goal in the first half. Ederson has been of great importance for the Citizens making some scintillating saves since the start of the Premier League this season.

Defenders
Ricardo Pereira (Leicester City): Gradually gaining his feet in the Premier League with Leicester City, Pereira scored a brilliant solo goal against Newcastle United that drew applause from the manager, Brendan Rodgers from the bench.

Willy Boly (Wolverhampton Wanderers): Strong in the air and made some vital interception that thwarted any reasonable attack from Watford. Organized his defense with all sense of coordination and was always ready to cover up for the right-back any time he overlaps.

Fikayo Tomori (Chelsea): Growing gradually under manager Frank Lampard, Tomori was a delight to watch against Brighton as made bursting runs from the right flank and set up Tammy Abraham, which he failed to convert.

Ben Chilwell (Leicester City): Another Leicester City player that gave the Newcastle United defenders a manner of nightmares with his pace and sublime skills. Chilwell was virtually involved in every goal attempt the team had against the Toons on Sunday

Midfielders
Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool): Came up with the needed goal that ensured the team picks the maximum points against Sheffield United in Saturday’s Premier League game. Wijnaldum, who has been quiet for some games in the league rose to the challenge and made his presence count with that low drive shot that embarrassed Sheffield United goalkeeper.

Jorginho (Chelsea): Having been criticized by some section of Chelsea supporters for his inability to carve out chances for the strikers, Jorginho gave the team a perfect answer as he dominated the midfield with his passes and sublime skills. Capped his performance with a goal via a penalty.

Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City): One of the brightest players that have continually shown his goal to score goals from his position. Ndidi was at his best mettle as he netted his third goal in the Premier League in the Foxes 5-0 hammering of Newcastle United on Sunday.

Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City): The Egyptian forward was a menace against Everton as he piloted some of the attacks the team had and netted in the 71st minute. His trickery and skills was a handful for the Everton defenders as they could not cope with him.

Forwards
Josh King (Bournemouth): Yet to replicate his impressive form that made him a household name last season at Bourmount, King was, however, at his best form against West Ham United, netting the team first goal in their 2-2 draw.

Jamie Vardy (Leicester City): Can’t stop scoring each time he dons the Leicester City’s jersey. Vardy scored a brace in the Foxes 5-0 annihilation of Newcastle United in Sunday’s Premier League to increase his goal tally to five in the league this season.
